2025-26 Children Religion Class (Sunday, May 24, 2026)

The Children's Religion Class program is open to all Zoroastrian children age 6 years or older (born in 2019 or earlier). Our aim is to provide them with knowledge about our religion as well as to provide them with the opportunity to meet other Zoroastrian children.

Program Details:

Frequency: 1 - 2 Sundays per month from September, 2025 to June, 2026

Locations:

East End: Mehraban Guiv Darbe Mehr (North York, ON - ZSO)

West End: OZCF (Oakville, ON)

Note: Kanoun religion class is only available in the East End.

Class Timings:

East End: 2:45 pm - 5:00 pm

West End: 11:30 am - 1:30 pm

Registration Fees:

Early Registration (on or before Sunday, August 3, 2025)

ZSO or OZCF members: $20 per child

Non-Members: $30 per child

Regular Registration (from Monday, August 4, 2025 and onwards)
ZSO or OZCF members: $30 per child
Non-Members: $40 per child

Information regarding class dates will be sent via email to registered families by September 1, 2025.

Farvardegan (Muktad) Days (S) (Monday, August 10, 2026)

The 2026 Shahenshahi Farvardegan (Muktad) days will be observed at the Mehraban Guiv Darbe Mehr (MGDM).

This year our Gathas are from Monday, August 10 to Friday, August 14, 2026.

During these auspicious days, we reflect and pray, remembering our Loved ones who passed away.

Here is what you need to know about the upcoming Farvardegan days in August:

Lunch will follow the 11:45 am Satum prayer
Dinner will follow the 7:00 pm Satum prayer

All of the following prayer performances will be in person:

Three Satum sessions (morning, afternoon and evening)
Afringan in the morning
Farokshi in the morning
Evening Satum and Hum Bundagi

For those unable to attend in person, all prayer sessions will also be streamed live on YouTube. This allows our extended community to join in remembrance and prayer from wherever they are.

MGDM Clean Up:

The MGDM clean-up prior to Farvardegan days is on Sunday, August 2nd from 10 am to 2 pm. We request you all to come in large numbers. Lunch will be provided. You can register online or call or text Khushru Chothia (416) 677-7555.

High school students and volunteer hours:

High school students can use this opportunity for their volunteer hours requirements. If you are interested in earning those hours during the Farvardegan days while helping the community, building new friendships and having fun, please contact Tahsheen Daruwala at (647) 708-9860.

Donations:

Sandalwood donations are appreciated to help maintain the supply at MGDM. Worshippers are encouraged to bring their own sandalwood offerings when possible.

Donations of fruit, flowers, food (malido, papri, ravo, mithai, etc.) are gratefully accepted.

If you wish to sponsor a meal and/or donate food, please e-mail muktad@zso.org or call Percy Daruwalla (647) 720-8224.

Cash donations can be made at the ZSO safety deposit box located in the prayer room, or online by selecting the "Muktad Fund" option. Cheques are also accepted but must be received by Saturday, August 1, 2026. Additionally, you can purchase the Candle & Sandalwood Package using the link provided below:
