Khordad Yasht is the fourth Yasht of the Avesta, and the Khordadgan Festival is a celebration in honor and reverence of Khordad—known in Avestan as Haurvatat, and in Pahlavi as Khordad—which means wholeness, health, and perfection. Khordad is one of the seven Amesha Spentas (Holy Immortals) in Iranian tradition. In this Yasht, it is clearly expressed that God grants help, salvation, joy, and prosperity to the pure-hearted youth through the Amesha Spenta Khordad.
As the days pass and generations come and go, each bearing a legacy of experience and a love for life, they seek to pass this precious gift on to the strong and vibrant youth who follow. In the ever-evolving and progressive Zoroastrian culture, where those who strive for truth are always honored, youth hold a deeply respected and valued place.

The Iranian Zoroastrian Cultural of Kanoun of Ontario is holding the Khordadgan Festival in appreciation and recognition of our youth. May this small gesture serve as an expression of gratitude for the efforts and achievements of our hardworking children in building a future greater than previous generations and better for those living today.

The Khordadgan Festival (Youth Party) will take place on Saturday, May 24, 2025, starting at 6:30 PM at Mehraban Guiv Darb-e-Mehr.

This celebration is for young adults aged 17 to 45 and will feature a DJ, dancing, desserts, and dinner.

Admission is $10, and tickets are available online through the ZSO website in limited quantities.
